SEAC BM-30 - THE LAUNCH OF FRC™ TECHNOLOGY ON SEACSUB'S LATEST FIN MADE IN ITALY

With the new SEAC BM-30 fins, Seacusb launches the new FRC™ technology - Fully Responsive Compound.

It all started with the search for a blend of polymers that would allow the San Colombano Certenoli-based company to produce fins with similar performance to those in carbon fibre and glass, while eliminating the well-known problems of the fragility of these composites.

They have therefore arrived at a compound with unprecedented mechanical characteristics that Seacsub's design and production experience has transformed into a new technology dedicated to the production of even more high-performance fin blades.

FRC™ - Fully Responsive Compound technology has therefore responded to all Seacsub's production requirements:

Negative fins and fin blades that are thinner than their technopolymer predecessors thanks to the material's fluidity and specific weight.

- The product design exploits the mechanical properties of the compound for an elastic response similar to that of carbon and glass fibre.

No risk of breakage or permanent deformation of the blade due to the compound's high resilience , high yield and tear strength, even at low temperatures.

- Strength and high resistance of the FRC materials elasticity make it possible to fully exploit the typical geometry of carbon and glass fibre blades without having to use any reinforcing ribs or protection.

- Reduced carbon footprint compared to common technopolymers used in the industry and total absence of toxic elements.

The special feature of SEAC BM-30 fins therefore lies in this technology, which combines innovative materials with hydrodynamic and ergonomic geometries.

The compound used is so elastic and has such a high shape memory that - in an absurd demonstration - if we were to look at the blade after rolling it up on itself, once released the blade would return to its initial form and shape, without any permanent structural deformation that could compromise its performance.

Like the successful Motus series, the BM-30's short-fin blade is made of two different materials, a stiffer one on the sole to give stability and a softer one on the upper for maximum comfort during prolonged use.

The blade of the SEAC BM-30 fins is angled at 30° to facilitate both surface finning and to accommodate the natural inclination of the ankles when diving. The small stabilising fins placed at the end of the blade at the point of greatest water flow prevent the fin from drifting sideways without compromising its power and correct blade flex for optimum performance.

SEAC BM-30 fins are 100% Made in Italy, produced in Seacsub's solar-powered factory.

The material of the BM30 fin
A light and reactive technopolymer, unique to date, which offers performance similar to carbon fibre-based composite, while eliminating the well-known problem of material fragility. The technopolymer used is so elastic and has such a high shape memory that - in an absurd demonstration - if we were to look at the blade after rolling it up on itself, once released it would still have its initial geometry, without any permanent structural deformation that could compromise its performance.
The geometry of the BM30 blade
The blade of the SEAC BM30 fins is inclined by 30°. This more accentuated angle is ideal both to facilitate surface finning and to support the natural inclination of the ankles when diving. In addition, the ultra-thin, differentiated profile creates optimal flexion. The small stabilisers placed at the end of the blade, at the point of greatest water flow, prevent the fin from drifting sideways without compromising the correct flexion of the blade.
The material of the BM30 foot pocket
Like the successful Motus series, the BM30 foot pocket is made of two different materials, a stiffer one on the sole for stability and a softer one on the upper for maximum comfort during prolonged use.
The geometry of the BM30 foot pocket
The BM30 foot pocket is optimised to accommodate blades angled at 30°. The short water rails enable the technopolymer of the blade to express all its reactivity and flexibility.
